Penn station to Ferncliff Cemetary
Step 1: Start out at Penn station, you will need to get a metrocard. The fare to ride the subway is $2. per person. You can ride as many trains as you need too, once you exit the station, to get back in you will need to pay $2. again.
Step 2: Penn Station to Times Square.
At Penn Station look for the #1, 2 , or 3 train (whichever comes first) You have to go from Penn to Times Square.
Here is a map to help you.

Step 3: Times Square to Grand Central Station.
Once at Times squre you look for the S train (shuttle train) that places you right in grand central station.

Step 4: Grand Central to Hartsdale
MetroNorth operates on schedules:
as0.mta.info/mnr/schedules/sched_form.cfm So, you can plan your day and allot enough time for your arrival there.
For example:
Leave Grand Central to Harstdale, then place the date you want to go and the times. After you figure out the times to get there, be sure to do a reverse route to get back.
Know that Ferncliff has it's own hours:

(hint if you got to their site and click on celebrities, you will see Liyah's pic).
So, when you get to Grand Central, go to a ticket window and let them know, off peak (should be if a sat.) round trip. The cost of the ticket is $12.50.
Once you arrive at the Hartsdale train station, you can call for a cab 1-914-949-0157. That should be between ($5-$8)
This is the exact location: Rosewood Mausoleum: Unit 4, Tier CC, Private Alcove, Crypt 3 at Ferncliff. You can say main entrance and follow the signs to Rosewood.
Depending on the entrance, (if it's the back go through the dorrs and down the flight of stairs), if it's the front go through the double doors and up one flight of stairs. Liyah is all the way at the end of the corridor, look for the large blue glass window.
There is also a gold gate in front.
To come back, do the same, call the cab from there, based on the time Fercliff closes and the train you to want to take.
Grand Central to Central Park
Step 5: Grand Central Station to Central Park
Once you are back in Grand Central, you will need a metrocard ($2 per person) and look for the #6 train.
Get off on 77Street, Lexington Ave.
Take a look at the pic below, it's easier to see, rather than directions.
The pic. also shows a map to the plaque.
Central Park to Penn Station
Take the #6 train back to Grand Central, then the Shuttle Train to Times Square and #1, 2 , or 3 train.
